Wood Property Managers
Our team has recently completed a project for Wood Property Managers in East Tamaki wherein an Ulti-Roll door was installed with accompanying safety bollards for one of their buildings, the tenant being Store Rite Logistics.
Store Rite Logistics is a privately owned company that aids in every aspect of logistics and supply chain needs. They offer services that has flexibility to adapt and can be tailored to each client’s individual needs. These include transportation and devanning containers, picking and packing of orders, product distribution, storage and inventory management.
In one of their external doorways on their East Tamaki site, they had some foggy and unsafe PVC Strip Curtain, as seen in the below picture, which not only causes a safety hazard, but was letting pests and unwanted air into their facility.
Then the owners of the building, Wood Property Management, got in touch with Ulti Group to discuss options around installing a high speed door, and which one would be best for the application at hand. The Ulti Team proposed the Ulti-Roll Door as the perfect rapid automatic door for this situation and so the door was supplied and installed – looking a lovely blue!
The Ulti-Roll high speed door was the perfect solution to protect the doorway of which the PVC Strip Curtains previously were doing not a very good job of, and is a high speed, crash-resistant PVC fabric door that rolls upwards and is designed for doorways with a continuous flow of traffic. It mainly functions as both environmental and pest control for the logistic company.
Here are some of the Features and Benefits of this automatic Ulti-Roll Door:
Crash Resistant If a forklift collides with the door the curtain unzips itself from the side guides and moves away from the impact. It then re-zips itself on the closing cycle. It features a soft flexible bottom edge and has no rigid battens. Thus, minimising damage costs further.
Speed Being able to move at 2m/second means minimised cycle time, therefore, decreasing energy costs and minimising the chance of forklift impact, improving productivity.
Safety Laser beams prevent the door from closing when obstructed, and a wireless reversing bottom edge reverses door when coming in contact with anything. Other safety features are available to further enhance the Ulti-Roll’s safety systems.
Vertical opening roll-up doors such as the Ulti-Roll Door move very fast and reduce the time that the door is open which is especially important where frequent openings are required. Rapid roll doors are generally designed to survive impact with a forklift truck, meaning less damage for the door system, and they also cause less damage to the truck and driver.
