Synlait Milk Project

Synlait is a dairy manufacturer with one of the largest and highest specification infant formula production sites globally. Based in the heart of Canterbury, New Zealand, they have spent the last two years transforming and growing their business to create an integrated supply chain that they control from start to finish.

Synlait have just completed a large project with Ebert Construction which involved the construction of their third large spray dryer, a 39m tall tower capable of manufacturing nutritional milk powders, including infant formula and high specification ingredients.

This new dryer has a number of doorways that required fast acting PVC doors to enhance productivity and safety through the doorways, and to strengthen the integrity of hygiene in controlled areas. Synlait and Ebert approached Ulti Group to assist them with their Rapid Door choice and installation of the same, to which we were selected to supply them with our Ulti-Roll Doors for their doorways.

The Ulti Roll Door is a fabric high speed door, with many attributes:

Ulti Group also supplied a Steel Roller Shutter Door for the Forklift Corridor to outside and a Sectional Vertical Lift Insulated Door for their Store to the Dust Collector Room.The Insulated Sectional Door uses an insulated sectional panel design which rises overheard, and the door provides excellent thermal, hygiene and acoustic control, and has an R Value of 4.8.

Since the project has been completed Synlait are extremly happy with the door systems that Ulti Group supplied and installed, and their new dryer is working well for them!
