Each year around half a million people use the airport and on the  20th of March 2020 the grand opening of New Plymouth’s new contemporary terminal was celebrated. Transforming what was a 1960’s airport, into a modern regional gateway!

Ulti had their part to play in the multi-million New Plymouth Airport upgrade. Supplying and installing a number of doors for this new modern facility!

All doors were installed to accelerate their baggage handling and air freight processes. With our fast acting doors, enabling tight environmental control and a high level of productivity.

Ulti Group worked alongside Clelands Construction & Beca throughout this project. Assisting with the specifications and providing professional recommendations for the application.

Originally all doors had been specified to be mounted externally and would have been exposed to excessive salt spray from the coastal location. However, we were able to design a unique solution that could be mounted with low clearance/head room, providing significant value to the client.
