Ulti Day 2021! Good times in Wellington…

Ulti Day 2021 was a highly anticipated event on the Ulti calendar as always! After the ups and downs of 2020 and with the event already having been postponed multiple times due to Covid 19, the entire team were eager to catch up with each other. A day shrouded in mystery and subtle clues, no one really knew what to expect other than that our destination was our beautiful capital city, Wellington!

Ulti Day is all about breaking down barriers, giving new team members a chance to get to know the whole team, boosting team spirit, and celebrating the hard work accomplished as a team, particularly over the past 12 months.

We discovered it’s true what they say, you can’t beat Wellington on a good day! After the many flights from all around the country had arrived and once everyone was accounted for – including the technical director who very nearly got left behind 😉 – we made a beeline for the ‘Wind Needle’ for a full team photo.

This completed, we again clambered aboard the bus and headed for our first mystery destination. Bowlarama! The day really kicked off now with the team split into 6 groups, each competing for the UltiMate Trophy.

‘Teamwork’ was the keyword of the day. And at Escape Masters we truly put this to the test, working together in our groups to escape from one of a series of sticky situations within just 60 minutes. Thankfully we all made it, albeit with just a few minutes to spare in some cases!

For the grande finale; a scavenger hunt at Te Papa, the National Museum of New Zealand.  A superb location, a quick lesson in NZ social studies, some tasty afternoon tea and good times!

It was altogether a fantastic day, thoroughly enjoyed by every single team member. We can’t wait until the next ‘Ulti Day’
